Its about mindset

Just got to know from a Hong Kong friend, a hotel receptionist starting pay is HK12,000 equivalent to NZ$3,000 and RM6,000. His previous job general cleark pay is HK8,500 equivalent NZ$2,100 and RM4,200.

NZ general worker's minimum wage NZ$12.50/hr.
OZ general worker's minimum wage AUS$14.31/hr.
UK general worker's minimum wage UK£5.80/hr.
MY general worker's minimum wage ?? RM2.00/hr (foreign workers price).
Or to be fair should I compared MY with Indo, Sri Langka, Thailand etc developing countries?

What is FAIR pay?

Its that toooo much to ask for a fair pay?
Its that toooo much to ask for just to make a simple living?

In some country, you will have a better live as long as you willing to work.
In MY, you will survive if you work very hard.
In some country, you can't even survive with lots of hard work.

Blogging from London

Today was my third week in London. The sky dark at 5pm, winter is coming. Ohhhhh... winter again!

Do you know what is exploitation?

I am feeling terrible after back in KL. Do you think there are seasons in emotion too? My current season is winter, weather gloomy.

Noticed a lot of foreign labourers working in the country for pittance. Most Pakistanis or Bangladeshis working in a cafe work for 12 hours a day, 6 days a week but earning less than RM1000 a month. An Indonesian house maid working 7 days a week, have to do house work and look after the children. When their Mister and Mistresses are not happy, the maids have to take all the blames and they are only earning less than RM300 a month. The lame explanation given by the employers are the workers do not have education and can only speak simple English.

I had been working in Singapore and New Zealand as a foreign labourer too. I had been working in a vineyard as a general worker too! I had been working in a kiwi fruit packhouse as a general packer too! But never in those days been shouted loud by my employers and supervisors. I never earned less than in Malaysia where I am holding a citizenship, even without convert the money back to RM.

We are lucky because we have the opportunities to attend school. We are lucky that although we did not study very hard but still managed to make a simple living inside the country. We are lucky that the road traffics still going well after many years.

Others may not be that lucky. They do not have any choices...

Messiness

Book shelf in a mess --> emotional messiness.
Mail box in a mess --> emotional messiness.
Weathe is too hot --> emotional messiness.
Don't what to do --> emotional messiness.

Sigh.

Been working in pallet card printing and checking for one week. Transfered to document dept from kiwi fruit packing line, recommended by my pack line supervisor. She said I am good. Emm. It means that i am quite talented in packing kiwi fruit. lol. People asked which job is better. No comment as both having pro and con. I do my best is what i can say.

Suddenly understand the meaning of 'I do my best'. Accustom to the job whether its challenging or boring, you make the job.

I decide how's the job tobe instead of the job decide who am i tobe.

I kinda love this quote which i saw it from my current work place. I am currently working in a kiwi pack house. Job scope: pack kiwi. I felt like a fruit packing machine, routine and brainless. Instead of crying bored everyday, I learnt to make a boring job interesting. I started arranged the kiwi in the box beautifully and nicely, although not everyday I can do it as it depends on circumstances like the sizes of the fruits and the speed of the machine. I do enjoy talking and making silly jokes with my work mates.

Every job tend to become boring as time goes. Make a boring job interesting is the real challege of the job. =)

Positive energy in need

Grouchy. I hate to sound negative. This is one of the reason that i love my gal friends. They are always positive and I miss them a lot. Do understand that negativity sometimes is a nature of some people yet understand and buy the negative mindset are two different things. Negative environment refrain me from doing what I think I should. Positive environment encourages people lead their life confidently. Please do not drag me down to all your morose and grumble emotion. Negativity creates hatrad.

I love to mix with positive people where they make you laugh to stomachache even during the worst condition. I am a always a positive person but not the noisiest person who I think you would love me to be around. Like my ex-bosses said: "It's always great to have you around." Thank you for such encouragous words.

Everyday is a great day and the right day to do things that I love. This life belongs to us. We choose the journey and experinces we are going through everyday. Happiness, we are the winner of our life.

I miss my friends. You guys and gals are one of the best gift I recieved in my life. Grateful.
